According to Thompson Cigar: "The Nub Cameroon (4" x 60) combines the coveted African Cameroon with Nicaraguan binder and filler to create an incredible combination of sweetness, strength, and structure. The big ring gauge produces plenty of cool smoke with a robust smoky, meaty flavor and a toasty aroma of cedar and oak. Bolder than most Cameroon blends, this little cigar delivers big flavor." We'll see. I've never been to good with words like "meaty" when smoking a cigar; I either like it or I don't. I will roast and report.

Report, Roast, and Repost. Is this a new segment or have I just missed it in the past?

Not an official segment, but I like to post (or brag) about what I'm smoking, especially if it's new to me. Sitting on the porch right now (it's 68 degrees here) and enjoying this tremendously.

So far, so good. Not harsh at all, and I usually smoke much smaller ring cigars than this. Very flavorful, excellent burn.

I hate you. — N0, that's not true. I'm sorry, it's just the envy.

That's okay. I understand. I don't mean to rub it in.

I hate you. My wife hates cig smoke and therefore I can't smoke. Not because she forbids me or anything but I just care about her and it takes a long time for the smoke to be totally gone.

Where do you get your stuff btw? Any spl place that you frequent? I might get myself one or two for old times sake.

This particular smoke was a gift from a musician friend. I usually smoke Punch London Club maduros. I get them from a local liquor store chain, Spec's. Good selection, good prices, and the buyer there is a former fighter pilot who likes to talk about his flying days. My friend buys online from Famous Smoke Shop. They have very good deals on mixed bundles, which is what he buys.

My wife is not crazy about it either, but she doesn't nag me about it, and I don't smoke in the house, or around my kids.

Nice. I loves me some Cameroon wrapper. One of my favorites are the CAO box rolled Cameroons, with the gold labels.

Can't wait to hear how it smokes, dat stogy is wiide. Curious to see how hot/cool it smokes.

I'm usually a maduro guy, but this is very nice. Great burn, and smooth/cool deep into it. Much bigger ring than I usually smoke, though. I'm definitely feeling it. But not harsh at all. Very enjoyable.

I've driven by the one on mopac many times but never thought to go in and check it out. This weekend perhaps.

That's where I shop, at the Arbor Walk. Bill, a tall, heavy set man with blonde hair is the buyer and former fighter jock. Nice guy, very knowledgeable. Other Spec's have humidors, but Bill's is the best stocked and best kept by far.

Good to know. I also prefer maduros, which is why I love the Cameroon CAO so much, it's pretty forte. Hope you have a tasty glass of whisk(e)y in hand!

JR Cigars & Cigars International both have decent prices and great selections and both allow you to by sticks in small quantities without jacking the prices up. JR sells many of their smokes in 5 pks. It's sometimes cheaper to buy them that way then to get a box.

I tried a NUB Habano once, and I reacted badly to it. I think I got a bad one, because I only had a couple puffs and got sick. I haven't gotten up the courage to try another since. Had a great UZI 5x60 on the way into work today, though.

It's been a long time since I've had the free time to smoke a cigar (also, it's too cold outside right now). I was just thinking about it today, in fact...

They're calling for above-freezing temperatures over the weekend, which in Canadian English means something close to "nice day, we should be outside in our t-shirts". If the wind stays down, I'll be outside with a cigar this weekend.

Ill cheers to that mate, I'll be smoking this in 10, Peterson pipe with McClelland frog Morton tobacco. My smoothest pipe, slow burning tobacco with a woody cool smoke and some John Coltrane on the side. It makes for a excellent start to the weekend.

I really loved the Nubs back when they debuted, but it seems like their flavor has fallen off a bit. The Cain versions are still excellent though!
